Description:

Job Purpose:
To audit/inspect in-process products, parts, and components to assure adherence to Quality and Engineering standards.

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform inspections for visual, mechanical, and functional characteristics of purchased material and product.
  2. Audit the machine assembly and test  process (RTD) to assure conformance to specifications.
  3. Assist assembly work teams to identify and solve problems.
  4. Compile and issue Discrepant Material Reports on material and in-process products.  
  5. Coordinate resources to solve then inspect the resolution to defects identified on the product traveler.
  6. Communicate DMR’s to engineering, purchasing, and suppliers for corrective action when necessary.
  7. Work with ME’s and Quality Engineers to install in-process checks in the manufacturing routers.

8.    Writes and updates ISO work instructions as required.

A.  RelationshipsInternal:  Work with teams or individuals in other departments to resolve quality issues.  External:  Work with suppliers to resolve/prevent quality issues.
B.  Problem Solving:  Work with design engineers, procurement engineers, manufacturing engineers and assembly work teams to identify and solve problems requiring corrective action.

Description:

Job Purpose:
To audit/inspect finished machines and loose options before they ship to assure adherence to Quality and Engineering standards.  Work with the paint and finish work teams to improve their product.

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform inspections of visual and functional characteristics of product, and ship loose options, before machines ship from the factory.
  2. Verify that all documentation is properly signed off and filed.
  3. Inspect that the build matches the MSO and that all ship loose options are properly packaged and secured.
  4. Compile and issue DMR’s on paint and finish problems.  Also communicate any other discrepancies discovered during inspections to the in-process inspectors for corrective action.
  5. Work with ME’s and the  paint and finish work teams to install in-process checks in the manufacturing routers.
  6. Assist the paint and finish work teams in the identification and resolution of problems.  Help resolve CAR written against the paint and finish areas.
  7. Input to and assist with updating ISO procedures and work instructions as required.

Description:

Job Summary:  To provide the customer and company with accurate appraisals of production according to customer specifications.  To assure all gauges and measuring equipment is fit for use.
Job Responsibilities: 

  • Check and verify that set up parts from production equipment conforms to specifications.  Record results on appropriate documents and communicate them to the operator.
  • Inspect parts for conformance to specification prior to release for outside processing or shipment to customers.  Inspect parts that are returned from the outside processing for conformance to specification.
  • Report discrepancies using DMR procedure.  Participates as needed in dispositions and corrective actions.  Determine appropriate gage configuration for special projects such as sorting.
  • Performs layout inspection for PPAP, ISIR etc.  Conducts process and gage capability analysis as required.
  • Participates in team feasibility reviews and answers questions pertaining to quality issues such as inspection techniques, machine capability etc.
  • Evaluate customer returns to determine if customer findings are consistence with our inspection results
  • Calibration of gages utilizing appropriate calibration techniques.
  • Support the departmental supervisor in the evaluation and response to customer complaints.
  • Train and assist all other operators in the department to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.
  • Keep department clean and organized.
  • Adhere to all safety and ISO/TS policies and report violations to manager.

Description:

Basic Function:  The Quality Engineer Position is required to design and install quality control process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques that support the company’s quality programs.

Position Qualifications:  This position requires intermediate skills in quality control, technical math including problem solving skills.  The successful candidate must be able to communicate with Supervisor’s and employees of the respective work areas.  Must possess the ability to learn company quality requirements, safety issues, production standards, and work instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze production limitations and problems
  • Work on process development with an aim toward mistake proof processes
  • Ability to program and operate CMM and Romer Arm inspection devices
  • Initiate/conduct Correct Actions, including determining root cause, intermediate and final corrective actions/ work with the Quality Manager on preventative actions
  • Generate, analyze and report SPC data to produce recommendations for improvement
  • Formulates or assists in formulation quality standards, policies, programs, plans, procedures, and practices
  • Conduct internal audits of processes (i.e. quality system, development activity, etc.)
  • Conduct supplier audits when needed as part of the Failure Analysis or CA process
  • Read, understand, and follow GD&T dimensional requirements
  • Continuously review the economics of the quality program and make recommendations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform such individual assignments as the supervisor may direct; establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, company and the community; maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

Description:

Basic Function:  The Quality Inspector Auditor position is required to use diversified bench type inspection equipment with computerized and electronic devices while upholding the quality control standards of the company.  This position performs a variety of destructive and non-destructive testing, documenting results and insuring material conforms to specifications.  This level may also make recommendations, write or modify sampling including inspection procedures.  Statistical tools and methods may be used by a person at this level.  The Quality Inspector Auditor will report non conformities to the quality Manager and shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities: 

  • Performs first piece inspection at various levels of production
  • Ability to program and operate CMM and Roemer Arm inspection devices
  • Initiates corrective action reports for non conforming materials
  • Generate, analyze and report SPC data
  • Setup parts for inspection using best practices techniques
  • Read, understand, and follow GD&T dimensional requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Experience Requirements:

5 years in manufacturing environment preferred

3-5 years experience with operating and programming CMM equipment

3-5 years experience in using GD&T, SPC, Gage R&R, and NDT principals

Certification:

National Quality Control Society is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints and standards
