Job Summary:

Produce machined parts on a Tsugami SS-20 Swiss CNC of the highest quality possible in the most efficient manner obtained.  Set up complex parts with little or no supervision.  Troubleshoot problem parts and perform minor maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and run Tsugami SS-20 Swiss CNC machine to produce parts according to the customer’s print and traveler.
• Run in both chucker mode and bar feed mode, with quick changeovers.
• Set up and program prototype or R&D parts to quality standards.
• Troubleshoot problems in production.
• Develop strategies to solve quality issues.
• Train and assist all other operators in the department to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.
• Maintain and repair equipment to ensure quality operations.
• Assist in the development of new products and recommend design and production improvements.
• Work with other departments to identify, analyze and resolve quality concerns.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area within the department.
• Adhere to all safety, ISO/TS policies and report violations to manager.
• Participate in all company training.

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of Swiss CNC operating experience
• Swiss CNC programming experience a plus
• High school diploma plus three to five years of directly related experience.
• Maintain good communication with department manager.
• Maintain a positive working environment within all departments.
• Work at a fast pace and able to adjust schedule to meet customer demands.
• Basic computer training.

Job Summary:  Highly skilled Punch Press and Shear Operator – must be able to safely and efficiently perform simple to highly advanced duties in pressroom area taking into account proper lifting/bending techniques.  Operator must be pro-active in utilizing provided equipment to optimize ergonomics and minimize excessive twisting, bending and possible strains.  The Class A Press Operator is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area.  The Class A Punch Press Operator must possess all of the skill sets required of a Class B operator with the addition of efficiently operating advanced coil fed press operations such as: highly cosmetic blanking tools, big press progressive complete and cushion blank tooling.  Must be highly technical and efficient in the art of advanced progressive press-line set-up, fine tuning and operational practices including but not limited to: cam switch/die protection feed-line, load guards, die cushion and counterbalance with no difficulty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Operate highly advanced coil fed operations highly efficiently
• Set-up advanced coil fed operations with little or no assistance
• Operate intermediate coil fed and auxiliary operations highly efficiently with little or no assistance
• Make precise feed-line, die protection, cam switch, die cushion and counterbalance adjustments highly efficiently

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to easily interpret basic GD & T drawings
• Must easily identify “tool controlled” features on parts to help establish a quality plan for production
• Must be able to troubleshoot all operator functions of the coil-fed press feed-line
• Must be able to identify and troubleshoot all die problems related to punching, extruding, drawing and forming
